Why good posture is important for daily living

March 4, 2019

Have you ever gotten up abruptly from your chair or turned too fast and injured yourself. Not the most pleasant experience, right? These injuries often happens when a person's body is not in proper alignment (good posture) which leads to muscle imbalance. People tend not to link these type of experiences to having bad posture and that's a big mistake. When one is aware of their posture that person is less susceptible to injuries.  There are steps you can take to remind yourself to correct your posture.

The Harvard Medical School does an excellent job of highlighting some of these steps and pointing out the benefits of having good posture in their article, "Why good posture matter" https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/why-good-posture-matters
